Ava Lee Artistry: Art Classes in Watercolour, Mixed Media & Oil

Unlock your creativity through our guided art classes for adults and teens, with a focus on watercolour, mixed media, and oil painting. Whether you’re a curious beginner or an experienced artist, our studio provides a warm, inspiring space to grow and explore your artistic voice.

What We Offer:

• Watercolour: Learn foundational techniques, layering, and the beauty of soft, fluid expression.
• Mixed Media: Dive into creative freedom—combining watercolour, ink, pastel, collage, texture tools, and acrylic.
• Oil Painting: Explore rich color theory, bold brushwork, blending, and timeless painting techniques.

Class Structure:

• One month’s notice is required for full class cancellation.
• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice must be given if you’re unable to attend. Missed sessions without notice will be forfeited.
• Catch-up classes are available for students who inform us in advance.
• Any extra fifth weeks in the month are free of charge and will be used for make-up sessions.
• Pop-in classes are welcome! Please message us ahead of time to check availability.
• All students are required to bring their own supplies—but we offer a lovely, affordable range in-studio. Please support our store before buying elsewhere.

Watercolour Supply List:

• 300gsm watercolour paper (cold press recommended)
• Round nylon brushes (fine to large)
• Watercolour paints
• Paint dish/palette
• Masking tape
• Cloth or paper towel

Mixed Media Supply List:

• Watercolour or mixed media sketchbook
• Watercolour paints
• Black ink or fineliners
• Soft pastels or oil pastels
• Acrylic paint (small set)
• Craft glue or Mod Podge
• Scissors & collage papers
• Tape, old cards/scrapers
• Texture tools (optional)

Oil Painting Supply List:

• Canvas pad or stretched canvas
• Oil paints (basic color range)
• Soft-bristle brushes (flat and round)
• Linseed oil or painting medium
• Odorless mineral spirits (for cleaning)
• Palette for mixing
• Rag/cloth
• Apron or old shirt
