In this guided acrylic workshop, we explore texture, layering, and soft neutral tones to create a sculptural canvas artwork. You’ll learn how to build raised forms, work with palette knives, and shape gentle curves that feel both modern and timeless.

This session is beginner-friendly. You do not need prior painting experience. We guide you step by step in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.

All paints, tools, canvas, and texture mediums are provided.

Please dress in clothes you won’t mind getting a little paint on. Acrylic can stain, and we want you to feel free to press, layer, and experiment without worrying about your outfit.

You’ll leave with your own finished textured acrylic artwork, ready to hang in your home.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is designed for adults who want a calm, creative experience. It’s perfect for beginners, returning makers, and anyone who enjoys working with texture and neutral tones.

Do I need any painting experience?

No experience is needed. We guide you step by step and demonstrate each technique clearly. You’ll have support throughout the session.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn how to:

• Build textured layers using palette knives
• Create raised forms and soft sculptural shapes
• Work confidently with neutral colour palettes
• Balance composition and spacing on your canvas

What is included in the price?

All materials are included:

• Canvas
• Acrylic paints
• Texture mediums
• Palette knives and tools
• Use of studio equipment

You simply arrive and create.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Acrylic paint can stain fabrics. An apron is helpful, but dressing practically is best.

Can I take my artwork home the same day?

Yes. Your artwork will be dry enough to transport carefully at the end of the session. We’ll advise you on safe handling and drying at home.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop runs for 3 hours, from 10:00 to 13:00. This allows time for demonstration, guided practice, and finishing details.

Is there an age restriction?

This session is designed for adults. If you are unsure whether it is suitable for a younger participant, please contact us directly.

Workshop Booking & Cancellation Policy

Our workshops are intentionally prepared, small-group experiences. Each seat is individually set with materials, layout, and planning specific to the session.

When you book a workshop, that seat is reserved specifically for you.

Non-Refundable Bookings

All workshop bookings are non-refundable.

Due to repeated last-minute cancellations negatively impacting workshop planning and operations, refunds are no longer available once a booking has been confirmed.

We appreciate that life can be busy and schedules can change. However, when a seat is secured, preparation begins immediately. For this reason, cancellations do not qualify for refunds or credits.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your seat to another person.

To do so:

• Include your order number
• Provide the full name of the person attending in your place
• Submit your request at least 24 hours before the workshop

Transfers requested less than 24 hours before the workshop cannot be accommodated, and the seat will be forfeited.

Studio Cancellation

In the unlikely event that Ava Lee Artistry needs to cancel or reschedule a workshop, participants will be offered either:

• A full refund, or
• A credit toward a future workshop
